Ohhhhh, our sweet little Trey! Although he is too young to speak, he is certainly not quiet. He has been babbling for months and months! And though I am convinced that he makes perfect sense to himself, I have not been able to decipher a single word that had real meaning . . . until yesterday!
He reached out to me and forcefully grabbed my eyelashes in his chubby little pincer grasp, and called out, "EYES!"
Oh, bless him! What a stinkin' cutie. The whole family has been repeating that one little word with him for the past 24 hours with pure delight. He can say, "eyes!" Hooray!
How fitting that his first "official" word should be "eyes," since that is my favorite thing about him. Those eyes of his are awfully expressive, so full of his innocence and wonder and curiosity. All of his little emotions can be found in those beautiful, round, sparkling blue eyes.
Ah, baby, we're so proud of you!
