A Heartbreaker!

It's the day after Election Day 2012.  What a heartbreaker!  Despite our best efforts and hopes, the American people did not choose our candidate for President of the United States, Mitt Romney, this time around.  I'll keep my commentary about this to myself for now (although you can trust that I have a lot to say about it!), and just state how proud I am of our children for putting up with us during this season and for learning so much about being good citizens!

They learned about the US Constitution, the political process, the voting process, the electoral college, the balance of power, etc.  And, most importantly, they learned about participating as citizens to promote the principles of freedom in our great country.

They also are learning a lesson about disappointment.  And that not everyone will agree with your point of view, no matter how much you believe in it, or how good it is.

This might be the first time they became involved in learning about the political process, but it is certainly not the last!  Let's pray that these children of ours are always lovers of freedom and righteousness and good citizens that make a big difference!
