Did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)? I was so proud that BOTH of my big boys wanted to participate this year, and that both were WINNERS! That means that they both wrote original novels in one month's time. Avery participated for the first time this year, and he set a word-count goal of 13,000 words. Chase committed to the program for the second year in a row; last year his word-count was 15,000 words and this year he stepped it up to a higher goal of 25,000 words!
Their final word-counts were 13,392 for Avery, and 25,354 for Chase. They had to be very disciplined to meet their goals, not to mention creative. Both boys actually finished early, too! Here is a picture of them showing us their Winner certificates:
