We were especially blessed to have Nana (Nate's mom!) visiting with us for this special occasion . . . but not ONE picture of her did I manage to get. Ugh! That equals the number of times Trey let her hold him for more than 30 seconds while she was here, but he sure was charming from a distance! Maybe next time . . . . :)
Anyway, Nana hadn't been to Denver for a year and hadn't seen our new house, so it was a perfect time to be here with us. We spent the day mostly at the soccer fields, but managed to squeeze in some fun family time opening gifts and enjoying birthday cake as well. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from this very special Double Birthday!

And here is a picture of the cake. Daddy was generous enough to accept a Winnie-the-Pooh cake for his birthday this year, in honor of Trey's first. Ha ha!

Poor little Trey was so overwhelmed by the family singing "Happy Birthday" that he cried through the whole thing! Ha ha! I love this picture because it shows sweet Chase's facial expression, with his concern for the Little Buddy, and it shows Trey protesting it all at the top of his lungs. Ah! Great memories! :)
He may have been willing to give up a fancy, grown-up cake, but he still got to blow out the candle!
And, of course, the awesome pictures of Baby's First Birthday Cake. He was a mess! The last two pictures show how the frosting was even up in his hair. LOVE IT!
