On the Farm

Our home teacher's family invited us to dinner in April. They live on a small farm in Franktown, and own several farm animals. Our home teacher's mother also lives with them, and she is from Hawaii and prepared most of the dinner. Need I say more? It was delicious!

Some of you may also know that our children love animals . . . but only from a DISTANCE! They do NOT like to be approached by or to touch or pet an animal in any way. This does not, of course, make them less wonderful than children who are animal lovers! But, it does make the picture of Courtney below even more special! She wanted to pet the baby chick so badly, but was so afraid to do it. You can see in her face how happy she is that she finally found the courage to feel the soft, sweet feathers of this little baby. SO proud of my little girl!
