Jamestown and Yorktown

The last two days we stayed in Williamsburg we went to Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center. Jamestown Settlement was a remake of the first permanent settlement by the English in North America in the early 1600's - Jamestown. Yorktown was the place that the Americans won a big battle in the Revolutionary War that made a turn of events in our favor.  It was the last major battle in the War and led to American independence. I liked watching the movie that told the story of Yorktown. 

We rode the Jamestown ferry to find a place to eat.

The second day we went to Yorktown Victory center. In one of the buildings, called the kitchen, there was a man who made a recipe from the time period.

And Trey and I got to help by breaking the cornbread.

At the Visitor's Center there was a stage where we got to dress up. Avery and Trey took all the clothes, so I got the bowl and spoon. :-(
